A film and photography student, brand designer, and creative entrepreneur based in Cape Town — working at the intersection of storytelling and social change.
Luthando Gwarube, 2025
My name is Luthando Gwarube — a film and photography student whose passion for storytelling lies within my interest in how visual narratives can actively shape culture, identity, and belief systems.
Stories can be a tool for social reflection and transformation, and my pursuit in the film industry is strongly guided and fuelled by my desire for social change and creative entrepreneurship.
I have a background in freelance branding and design work, as well as radio presenting. Before my current studies, I worked as a project administrative assistant on infrastructure developments before being transferred to a marketing position within the company. On some evenings of each week, I served at a Christian community radio station.
These are the principles that guide every project, every collaboration, and every decision — creative or otherwise.

My long-term vision is to lead a multidisciplinary creative studio that brings together storytelling and community initiatives. A space that fosters creativity and creates opportunity for South African creatives to influence culture on a global scale.
Collaborating with creatives from around the world to tell stories that challenge worldviews — all while revolutionising South Africa's creative landscape from the inside out.
